Sanoma Media Praha Sanoma Magazines Praha is one of the largest publishing houses in the Czech Republic. Our magazines reach 17 % of Czech population (12-79 years old*) and that’s around 1.5 million of Czech adults. Sanoma’s portfolio is set up by a variety of diversified consumer magazines:

1968: Publishing house MONA (abbreviations for Moderní žena = Modern woman) was sheltering three women´s magazines. Weekly Vlasta (launched in 1947), monthlies Žena a móda (on the market 1949-1993) and Praktická žena (launched in 1950).
1992: VNU, the Dutch Publishing Company, acquired 100% share of MONA. VNU in addition to investments transformed the subsidiary firm into the company of European parameters.
2002: MONA became part of Finnish publishing group Sanoma WSOY and was renamed Sanoma Magazines Praha.
2011: company has changed its name to Sanoma Media Praha
